I've never owned any rare/collectable RPG products before, so this is all new to me. I'm definitely going to be holding on to my copy!
Hard to believe that the price could inflate so much in so short a period. You can get a boxed copy of the OD&D LBBs for less than that!

That's what I've been seeing. I keep hoping to find a copy I can actually afford, but no luck so far.
ReplyDeleteMy Whitebox went for 65 USD, EPT for 120... so yeah, it's kinda ridiculous, yet, given the depiction of the most sought after dungeon in rpg history, understandable. Oh, how I wish I owned one.
ReplyDeleteI have one. When they were getting rid of them I should have dropped the coin on a couple cases of them. I could have made a good chunk of change selling one every three months or so.
ReplyDeleteEverybody who wants one: Don't get me wrong, I love CZ and I wrote all about why in my RPG.Net review. But I wouldn't pay $400 for it or any other module! It just seems insane to me.
ReplyDeleteYeppers, out of print and by Gygax made that happen. I've been kicking myself for years for not stocking up CZ when Troll Lord Games was clearing them out. Shit, I didn't even buy one!
